 Brent B. Johnson
Principal
Mr. Johnson is the President and owner of Genesis Land Development and Ringland-Johnson, Inc., a construction firm specializing in complex commercial projects, including medical, nuclear, multi-family, office, industrial and hotel projects. Mr. Johnson has acted as Project Executive on numerous projects ranging from $10 MM to $135 MM. He served as project manager of Turner Construction Company where he personally oversaw projects for AT&T and the U.S. Government.
Mr. Johnson graduated from Iowa State University in 1983 with a B.S. in Civil and Construction Engineering. He served on the White House advance staff for President Ronald Reagan. Mr. Johnson has over 20 years experience as a construction executive overseeing projects in excess of $100 million, and has served as President of Ringland-Johnson since 1988. He has developed real estate and building projects for: the University of Illinois, Winnebago County, commercial offices and private retail developments and has recently developed a 40 acre industrial park.
 Ander Smith
Development Manager
Mr. Smith is the Manager and Broker for Genesis Land Development. He has over 10 years experience structuring and negotiating commercial projects, including negotiating a $75 million transaction between Qwest Communications and IBM while serving in-house as Senior Counsel at Qwest. At Genesis, Mr. Smith is responsible for structuring and acting as lead negotiator for new project initiatives and managing development projects up to construction.
Mr. Smith is a licensed attorney in both Illinois and Colorado. He received his J.D. from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana Magma Cum Laude and his undergraduate degree in Economics Cum Laude from Augustana College (Rock Island, IL). Mr. Smith has worked with the law firms of Katten Muchin & Zavis and Hinshaw & Culbertson, as well as in-house with Qwest Communications where he was responsible for negotiating transactions with Qwest’s Fortune 1000 clients. He is also a licensed real estate broker.
 Andy Rhead
Project Manager
Mr. Rhead serves as Project Manager for Genesis Land Development, as well as Director of Business Development for Ringland-Johnson. Mr. Rhead has over 25 years experience in real estate development and construction, including several years running his own development and construction firm where he initiated and successfully completed over $60 million in projects recently. He serves as the primary on-site point of contact with local government, utility, and transportation agencies.
